Profile

Elliot re-joined Jersey Finance in November 2018 from Crestbridge where he managed their Management Company Services Group.

Elliot’s role is to help define Jersey’s product offering for funds as well as to oversee the strategy and execution of marketing Jersey as both a domicile and destination for Alternative Investment Managers and their funds.

Katie LeahPartner, Skadden

Ms. Leah’s private equity work frequently involves advising on U.K., multijurisdictional and pan-European mergers and acquisitions, as well as on matters related to U.K. corporation taxes, value-added taxes, stamp taxes, management packages and share incentive schemes. In the real estate sector, she counsels clients on investment, financing, development and leasing matters, and has significant experience with the establishment of real estate funds, which involves extensive cross-border structuring.

Mike is a Partner and the Asset Management Leader at PwC Channel Islands, based in Jersey and specialises in alternative funds – private equity, hedge, infrastructure, funds of funds. He has over 25 years of experience working with clients across all areas of financial services, working both with established businesses as well as start-ups and has been a trusted advisor to a number of his clients as they have grown more successful. Mike is PwC’s EMEA Alternative Funds leader, a member of PwC’s Global Alternatives Leadership and former Chairman of the Jersey Funds Association.

Robert MilnerPartner, Carey Olsen

Robert is recognised as one of Jersey’s leading funds lawyers. He acts for a wide range of boutique and institutional fund managers and has extensive experience in establishing private, expert, and listed Jersey funds. He has particular expertise in establishing fund manager structures, including migrating fund managers to Jersey from other jurisdictions. Robert also advises on the establishment, financing and sale of Jersey vehicles holding real estate (including JPUTs) and the structuring and listing of REITs. Robert has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Jersey Funds Association for over a decade and in October 2025 was appointed as Commissioner of the Jersey Financial Services Commission.

Sophie Forbes Head of Legal, TreasurySpring

Sophie Forbes is the Head of Legal at TreasurySpring, the global cash investment platform. With over a decade of experience in banking and financial services law, Sophie began her career in private practice as a project finance solicitor at Pinsent Masons. She subsequently moved in-house, working for Axiom and BNY Mellon, focusing on securities finance, funds and regulatory matters. In 2022, Sophie established the legal function at TreasurySpring and has helped with the company’s international expansion, including establishing legal and regulatory frameworks for new markets, driving its vision of becoming the leading global institutional treasury investment platform.

Tim MorganPartner, Appleby

Tim is a Jersey Corporate partner with wide-ranging experience in investment funds, corporate finance and restructuring. He has practised in Jersey since 2003 and in that time has advised sponsors, investors, boards, regulators and service providers across a variety of asset classes, particularly including private equity, credit, venture, secondaries, hedge, real estate and liquid securities. Tim has also acted on a wide range of corporate, finance and restructuring transactions involving funds and investment management, regularly involving advice on governance and regulation. He has advised on a number of innovative and market-leading deals, recently including liquidity related structuring for private equity assets, separate managed accounts for institutional investors, technology assets and the crossover between private wealth and institutional funds.
